2023+ Acura Integra / Civic 3D Carbon Fiber Manual Shifter Trim Overlay
Piano black trim was cool when it came out and mainly found in nicer vehicles. Now there's so much piano black trim that it starts to make you think you're going to damage it. One accidental drop and you have a big ole scratch.
This 3D carbon overlay installs easily as it covers the flat, upper portion only. We call it 3D carbon as it actually has a textured pattern. There are air egress channels and it installed pretty easily.
INSTALLATION
Ideal weather is 75-85 degrees. You can also go for a ride and cool or heat the interior of your vehicle with the vinyl inside.
Clean the surface of the trim. Make sure it is free of any residue including Armor All or other protectants.
We recommend the following items for installation:
- Microfiber
- Interior surface cleaner (or wax free detail spray)
- StickerFab Application Fluid (or 1 drop dish soap mixed with 1 cup of water)
- Heat gun or hairdryer (optional)
Wet the back of the vinyl and lightly wet the installation area. Be careful not to soak any electronics. This liquid breaks up the initial bond allowing you to properly align the overlay. Then you can push the water out. Allow time to dry and then press the edges down. You can also use a hairdryer or heat gun (light heat) to speed up the drying process.
This adhesive on the vinyl activates in response to heat and pressure.
