Extend Product Protection

We are excited to offer Shipping Protection Plans in partnership with Extend, Inc., an independent third-party provider. These protection plans are managed directly between Extend, Inc. and the purchaser. K2 Industries and its affiliates serve only as sellers, with no direct obligations under the protection plans.

 


 

What is the Extend Protection Program?

Many of our products are eligible for coverage through Extend, offering extended protection that goes beyond the manufacturer’s warranty. Extend covers product defects and breakdowns resulting from normal use or manufacturer issues. However, it does not include accidental damage due to misuse or abuse.

 


When does coverage begin?

Extend's coverage starts after the manufacturer’s warranty expires, extending protection for the number of years you select at purchase. For example, if you choose a 3-year plan and the manufacturer offers 1 year of coverage, Extend protects your product for an additional 3 years after the first year, totaling 4 years of coverage.

 


How do I file a claim?

The Extend team is available to assist you with claims. Since Extend operates independently of K2 Industries, claims should be submitted directly through Extend's online portal: https://customers.extend.com/claims or by phone at 877-248-7707.

 


How will I be compensated for an approved claim?

If your claim is approved, Extend will issue a K2 Industries gift card for the original purchase price of the item. This gift card can be used to replace the item on our website. Please note that the price of the replacement may differ from the original purchase price.

 


How can I check if an item is eligible for an Extend plan?

Simply visit the product page on our website. Eligible items will display details about the Extend protection plan options available.

 


Can I purchase an Extend plan for a previously purchased item?

Customers can purchase a plan within 120 days of their product purchase, but this option is only available to current K2 customers. Customers who purchased products before this policy was implemented are not eligible for additional protection plans.

 


Can I cancel my Extend protection plan?

You may cancel your plan within the manufacturer’s warranty period for a full refund. If you cancel after the Extend coverage has begun, a prorated refund will be issued. To cancel, call 772-675-0284 (Mon - Fri, 9 AM - 5 PM EST).

 


Can the Extend warranty be transferred to a new owner?

Yes, Extend warranties can be transferred to a new owner if the item is sold while still under protection. To transfer the contract, contact warrantyops@extend.com and provide the necessary information.
