Time, mileage, weight, power, torque, towing and hauling - all enemies of rubber bushings in hard working full-size trucks. The more that is asked of soft rubber OEM bushings the more quickly they degrade and potentially fail. The 'DS' series RAM 1500 has been an owner favorite since its introduction in 2010, so much so that it soldiered on for many years along side the 'DT' series intended to replace it. These trucks offer massive capability and supreme comfort - but they all suffer from the same quickly degrading rear tailing arm bushings. As these bushings wear they permit more and more movement of the rear axle over bumps, uneven surfaces and as you apply and release the throttle. In the driver's seat this results in a lack of confidence and predictability as the rear of the truck will move around under changing loads and surfaces requiring constant correction. Noise can also be created from the rear of the truck as all of the suspension and driveline components are not properly located by the trailing arm bushings.
