2021+ Bronco Tailgate Side Edge Protection Film (PPF)
These are utility vehicles and we tend to put a lot of things in the trunk. From groceries to off-road gear, we're always in and out. It's pretty easy to accidently damage the paint because of this.
A customer requested that we create a pre-cut PPF film for this so we have! Available in three sizes and two materials.
Available sizes
- General Edge Guard - Small coverage over the edge. Mainly an exclusive edge protection.
- 1" - Fits up the the Bronco Raptor Emblem
- 2 1/4" - Fits up to the oval indention for the Ford rear oval
All sizes have the same width of protection along the inside of the tail gate.
Please choose StickerFab Application Fluid as an add on if you do not have it already.
Material
Clear Oracal ORAGUARD 270G stone protection offers a transparent solution to paint protection. It is 6 mil in thickness.
General Formulations Dragon Wrap is 5.7mil in thickness and pretty durable for a vinyl. We have used it in a few different areas for protection. It has a 3D carbon pattern and cleans up well with 303 Aerospace cleaner. Do not apply wax to to this material.
INSTALLATION
We recommend doing this after a fresh car wash. Re-clean the application area to prepare it for installation. Just use a wax free detailing spray if your vehicle is not too dirty. Do not forget to clean the areas that are relatively close to the install area. Also wash your hands. You do not want to get dirt stuck to the adhesive side of the PPF.
NOTES: We recommend that the installation area be free of wax and not under direct sunlight. Ideal install temperature is 75-85 degrees. Having a 2nd person to help you manage the material is also recommended.

- Heat Gun or Hair Dryer Optional (minimal amounts of heat to encourage stretching and/or drying)
