Quality 3M tape will be provided with perfect fitment to ensure they stay in place even after continuous usage. The surface is coated with a high gloss clear coat. The underlying carbon fiber overlay is laid on with meticulous care, thus ensuring that each dry carbon door handle you receive is uniform and breathes the same quality as your BMW straight from the factory.
Dry carbon fiber's name comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold and then into a sealed autoclave to properly cure. This method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter carbon version than the “wet” method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets in the carbon. Dry carbon is the highest-quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced.
