Air Cooled: If you know, you know. There is nothing that looks better. Nothing that sounds better. Nothing with more character than a classic air-cooled Porsche. Everything about these cars is the pinnacle of perfection for analog enthusiasts, and we wouldn't change a thing. These were simpler times, but simpler times also came with simple headlights, and that's one thing we Porsche fans don't necessarily admire. Especially when the original headlights were designed around ancient headlight technology from the 60s and its dark outside. At Morimoto, we get it, and that's why our new Bi-LED headlights for your 911 are about as future-proof as the car itself. Compatible: these are a direct bolt-on fitment for all Porsche 911s from 1965-1994 including the 911, 912, and 964 generations. They include a set of new fender mounting rings, H4 to H5 adapter harnesses, and should not take more than an hour at most to install. Bi-LED: The Morimoto XB LED headlights for the 911 come standard with a single high-output Bi-LED projector, just like the OEM headlights found on the late 991 and 992 Gen cars. They're going to perform even better than they look, with a wider, significantly brighter low beam, and a high beam that will penetrate far into the distance with ease. To top it all off, these optics meet & exceed all SAE, DOT standards when aimed properly, which is easy to do with their integrated aiming adjusters. Plug n Play: The Porsche 911 XB LED Headlights from Morimoto are designed to work without any modifications. These LED headlights will plug into the factory 3-prong H4 connectors for the stock lights and include H5/9007 Adapters for later model cars. A separate, easy-to-install harness is also included to power the daytime running lights. Style: These are the perfect solution to modernize the front-end of your classic 911 without compromising the delicate styling of the car. The geometry and much of the fluted texture on the front-lens has been preserved. The optical light pipe that wraps around the outer perimeter of the housings acts as a low intensity parking light and the full intensity daytime running light. These optics also create four pronounced hot-spots in each corner of the light, which are also reminiscent of what Porsche did on the 991 Generation cars and though we recognize that's on the verge of too modern--trust us, it looks just right! Classic or Modern White: The Classic White model looks especially natural on the car with the warm white LEDs, and could truly pass for original-equipment, while the Modern-White version offers a more updated appearance. In either case, we have matched the color of the daytime running light optics and main low/high beam LED projector. We also offer matching LED fog lights for the 964 (Part number: LF964 / Only available in Classic White Color).Well-Built: The durable polycarbonate lens has been UV treated, and will resist the test of time, keeping the housings looking new for many years to come. All wiring and connections are OE grade, and the optics inside are designed to maximize visibility on par with modern Porsche lights. The price is justified, and as the saying goes: you pay for what you get. These headlights are built to exceed all expectations and should easily last the life of your classic 911!

    FAQs

    Are these street-legal or off-road only?

    Depends on the certification — SAE-rated lights are street legal in most states, ECE/E-mark in Europe, and uncertified "off-road only" lights are for trails and competition. The certification for this product is in the spec sheet.

    Do I need a wiring harness and switch panel?

    Most off-road lights need a wiring harness with relay and fuse. Some include a basic harness; others require you to buy one separately. A switch panel gives you clean dash control if you're running more than one light.

    Can I install this myself?

    If you're comfortable with basic 12V wiring, yes. If you've never wired auxiliary lights, a shop install is the safer call — bad wiring can drain your battery or cause electrical issues.

    How bright are these compared to factory lights?

    Premium off-road LEDs are 5-10x the lumen output of OEM headlights. They're designed to light up trails and fields. Exact lumens and beam pattern are in the spec sheet.

    This isn’t on K2, but the lenses came In which I was thrilled about. I’d already removed my OEM lenses from their housings. The passenger side lense fit well and mostly flush. The driver side, however, looks like it was slightly warped and caused poor fitment and what looks like a small dip in the red portion of the lense. I had no choice but to use them, as my OEM lenses were no longer usable. It can be very difficult to get replacement lenses in a timely manner for a Del Sol. I drive my car everyday, so I had to just go with it. Again, not a K2 issue but presumably the manufacturer.

    The box was a little crushed, but the line was packed well and it wasn't a problem. The instructions are 3 pages of color pictures and lots of explanations. Very nice. The line itself is a very nice bit of kit with a swivel AN line end that allows a No-tension install. No leaks so far and it looks great. It came with new banjo bolts and copper crush washers. The only criticism I have is that I would have liked this hose coated in black so it disappears like the original, but it does look good, so I don't mind.

    What if the part arrives damaged or is the wrong item?

Freight usually runs $150-$300 depending on size and your location. We know it's expensive. We negotiate the best rates we can. If you're ordering multiple large parts, text us.     How long will it take to receive my order?
